Lighting is more than just functional. It can be a statement piece in a room. Why go to the effort of choosing the perfect furniture and decoration if the only way to show it off is the light from a regular lamp? Take a look at the Trend Display – Light up Your Life in Hall 1D Concourse, to see how the selected lighting items go well with cosy furniture.

Snacks are provided at Yummy Kitchen (two sessions: 10:30am – 12:30pm; 2:30pm – 5:30pm) in Hall 1B (Technical & Outdoor Lighting zone) and Hall 3B (LED Outdoor Lighting zone). Chef demonstration starts at 3:30pm, so, take a break, enjoy a snack and mingle with other visitors.

This show gives us the opportunity to introduce our new concept to lighting buyers from around the world – we focus on indoor and outdoor lighting for the home that is easily connectable in a quick and safe method. Our major customers are in Europe – especially France and Italy – but we want to broaden our scope and this fair can help us achieve that goal. Here we see many customers from many different countries that have come to source the newest lighting products. Just on the first morning alone we have met with prospective buyers from Italy and the US. I am satisfied with the organisation of the show.
King So, Quality Manager, Star Light SAS, France
We have been exhibiting at this show in Hong Kong since 2010. This fair is very international so here we can meet with many overseas buyers. For example, this year we have spoken with visitors from France, Greece, Australia, the Middle East and Japan already. We specialise in a wide range of LED lighting and we take the opportunity to display our latest products. This year we have found that customers are particularly interested in spot lights, down lights and high bay lights. We have been in business for 10 years now and our major markets are in Japan, Australia and the US – they include customers that we first encountered at this show. We find the organisation of this show to be helpful – we have our headquarters in Taiwan and our factory in the Chinese mainland, so our booth is designed for us, everything is taken care of, and all we need to do is move in!
Lyla Peng, Sales Executive, Micro Trillion Opto Co., Ltd, Taiwan
My company supplies LED lighting solutions to hotels, restaurants and schools as well as providing architectural and landscape building lighting. This is my fourth visit to this fair – everybody in the industry is here, plus spring is a convenient time for me to travel as it is the quietest time in the Australian market. Also, I prefer to speak face-to-face with suppliers so they can fully understand the specifications and accreditation requirements for lighting in the Australian market. I take the opportunity to catch up with existing suppliers and find new ones. This is a good fair – HKTDC does a fantastic job. I can get everything, such as my badge, organised online before I get here.
Colin Holliday, Manager/Owner, Greenlight, Australia
ECO is a distributor of major lighting brand products in the Russian market, plus we have two of our own private labels. We already do big business with lighting manufacturers in the Chinese mainland, importing six to eight containers a month, including ballast, components, street lighting, fluorescent lamps and LED lighting. We have recently started in the LED business and we expect this to grow by 50% next year. I was invited to the fair by HKTDC and this is my first time here. I’ve seen many interesting items, including a solution for building units for LED dimmable systems, and have identified three companies in particular that I will follow up. It is very good for the HKTDC to give us the opportunity to attend this excellent event. The organisation is good – for example, staff have arranged contact with suppliers for me.
