“With our own factory in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province on the Chinese mainland, Betterlighting produces high-quality outdoor lighting, LED garden lights and solar lights at competitive prices. We join both the spring and autumn editions of the Hong Kong International Lighting Fair because the Hong Kong fair attracts many buyers from all over the world and generates new business. Through last year’s Autumn Lighting Fair, we secured orders from our new markets such as France, the Philippines and Poland. At this year’s Spring Lighting Fair, we have already established contacts with 30 quality buyers who made serious enquiries about our new designs. “Established in 2009, Lumn initially produced automotive lighting, but we started to design and manufacture commercial and industrial lighting in 2011. In collaboration with Lumileds, we are offering a complete range of high bay lights, namely Eco, Core and Premium, which are suitable for use in warehouses, distribution centres and retail stores. Currently, our high bay lights are sold in Australia only. We are exhibiting at the Spring Lighting Fair for the first time to develop partnerships with distributors. Buyers from many places such as the Chinese mainland, Costa Rica, the Middle East, Turkey, the UK and the US have expressed interest in our high bay lights, and some of them will become our distributors after further negotiations. The fair provides a very good platform for me to meet with many new suppliers and see the latest trends. Due to the Indian government’s subsidy programme, our country will buy 120 million pieces of LED bulbs this year after buying 80 million pieces last year. During the four-day fair, I’ll meet with about 100 exhibitors which I have chosen from the fair’s website, and I hope to find suppliers which can offer good quality and competitive prices. So far, I have found two potential suppliers from the Chinese mainland for the supply of flood lights.
